The 1st month of 2026 has almost gone without my Phillip by my side, but I continue to feel as though he is.
I still feel I can;
talk with him, discuss and ask him questions and show him interesting things I've seen. Take him his morning Roibos and special biscuits.
I wonder where he is.
"My darling Phillip, can you help me unravel all the tangles you left for me.
I love ❤️ you.
Your ever loving Wife. Paula 🤗 XO

Thank you for everything, Dad. I shall miss our, sometimes, very heated political debates. Our neighbours won’t have to close their windows and Steve won’t have to leave the room. 😉 I imagine you have already found new sparring partners.
Love,
Vanessa and Steve

I first met Philip in 2010 when I was working for a forestry business, growing trees on Philip & Paula's farm. It was early last year we met again, in the cute cottage by the lake, looking out to Mt Lindsay. We were supposed to be negotiating a farm lease but instead spoke about cricket and the West Indies and his early working life as a diplomat and I left without having progressed our business, so we agreed to meet again. These ‘meetings’ became a nice excuse to catch up and tell stories, drink Guinness, explore ideas and – occasionally and with boring necessity – negotiate the lease. It was a shame to eventually agree terms and sign the damn thing because it meant there were fewer reasons to meet. Although my liver has since recovered somewhat I feel diminished by the loss of opportunity, regret that I didn’t find more reasons to check in when I drove past in a cloud of bulldust, instead of creating a pile of it with Philip on the back deck. Good times.

A great mate and working companion for many years all over the world. He was effective in work, fun in play and hated a drink!I’ll miss you Buddy.

We remember Phil fondly as an interesting man of wit and plenty of get up and go during his time on the farm at Denmark. Our thoughts and memories of happy times are with Paula and the family.

Worked for Phillip & Paula and always found him to be witty, fair, and fun loving. Even when Boomer did a pooh in his office!!! RIP and love to all your family. Shaun & Arlene x

In the short time we spent together and the chin wag with Phillip I am sure we could have talked more at some time later.
A life well lived but this photo will be forever remembered of our get together in Mundaring Pub.
Take care Paula and our thoughts are with you and your family.

I knew Phil from about 1954, we were at school together and at Sydney Uni together. A good man, liked a pint as well as a punt, gave life a good go, missed by his old mates in the East. RIP Phil
