Obituary

An incredible nurse, leader, colleague and friend - Ann passed away unexpectedly on 28 April.

Ann loved life. Her smile always at the ready, excited about something happening at one of the Care Communities she managed, or sharing an uplifting story about a resident or member of her team.

As the Irish blessing goes “death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal” – we will not forget you and will continue to be inspired by the love, leadership and friendship you shared.

May you rest in peace Ann.

Ann was more than my mentor, she was someone I looked up to every single day. Not just because she was an incredible leader, but because we shared the same passion and purpose which was bringing joy, dignity, and happiness to the elderly community who deserve the best of life.

Watching Ann do what she loved most was truly inspiring. She poured her heart into making the lives of older people brighter, and you could see the spark in her eyes every time someone made a positive difference. That was her mission, her passion, and the legacy she leaves behind in our community.

I was absolutely heartbroken to hear of your passing. One of my biggest regrets is not making that phone call just to say hello.

Thank you, Ann, for believing in me, guiding me, and inspiring me. It was an honour to work alongside you. You were the most compassionate mentor and one of the kindest people I have ev

Your leadership was commendable. One of the best I have ever encountered. I will forever remember you and the last laughs we have on that 24th. We are incredibly shaken by your sudden departure but we will do you proud. From the clouds above looking down on us, we will wave your NSW West Flag. We miss you already. Thank you for trusting and believing in me. Thank you for seeing my vision for Mudgee. Thank you for everything Ann.
