Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Danny Coyles, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend, who was taken from us far too soon.

Danny was the devoted husband of Clare, with whom he recently celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. Together they built a life founded on love, commitment, hard work, and family. Their greatest joy was raising their beautiful sons, Tiernan, Orin, and Caolan, whom Danny loved beyond measure.

Danny was an exceptional father. He was present for every milestone, every match, every achievement, and every challenge his boys faced. No matter how busy life became, his family always came first. His sons knew they could count on him to be there, cheering them on, supporting them, and guiding them with love and quiet strength.

Danny's love for Clare was evident in the countless small things he did each day. He showed his devotion not through grand gestures, but through thoughtfulness, kindness, loyalty, and unwavering support. Together, they shared a partnership built on mutual respect and deep affection.

Originally from Portstewart, Ireland, Danny moved to Melbourne with Clare and their young son, Tiernan, to build a new future for their family. Through hard work and determination, they created a loving home, became part of a vibrant community, and formed lasting friendships that became an extended family.

Melbourne was also where Danny reconnected with his wider family, following in the footsteps of those who had emigrated before him. He was a treasured son to Robbie and Rita, who raised him with the values of love, loyalty, and family that he carried throughout his life. He was a much-loved brother to Robbie, John, Pat, Margaret, and Joanne, and was dearly loved by their partners and the wider Coyles family, including his nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Danny was a much-loved son-in-law to Geraldine and Joe, and a cherished brother-in-law to Ciara, Paul, Colm and Bronagh, along with their partners. He was also an adored uncle to all his nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart. Having been part of the family since he and Clare first met at university, Danny was deeply loved and valued by all who knew him.

Danny will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, humour, hard work, and commitment to those he loved. He had a gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and supported. His presence brought comfort and joy to family and friends alike.

While our hearts are broken by his loss, we take comfort in the memories he gave us, the love he shared so freely, and the example he set as a husband and father. His legacy will live on through Clare, Tiernan, Orin, and Caolan, and through all those fortunate enough to have known him.

Forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered. To donate to the family’s chosen charity, please click the fundraiser button above. Please leave a tribute message below.

We are heartbroken by Danny's sudden passing and are sending all of our love to Clare, Tiernan, Orin, Caolan, and the entire family. Even though the miles kept us apart over the years, it was always clear how deeply he loved Clare and their boys, and what a beautiful life they built together. We are so grateful Clare and Danny shared 20 wonderful years, but his time with her and the boys was far too short. We're holding you all close in our hearts. May Danny rest in peace.

All our love,

Clare, Tiernan, Orion and Caolan:
Words can not express our shock at the passing of Danny, we will always remember him as that quiet fella who visited with Sean myself and the girls first for Erin’s wedding. The joy in Danny’s eyes his beautiful smile that lit up a room. we just knew he was your rock. The second time you visited Danny, Clare and little Tiernan just before your departure for Australia - how brave you were to take that step Clare , but with Danny by your side you made a home for yourselves. This is a terrible loss and we pray that you continue to have the strength to get through these days, knowing that Danny is watching over sll of you. May Danny Rest in Peace.

Dear Clare, Tiernan, Orín and Caolan,

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

We are thinking of you all in this time of loss. You both built an amazing life here in Australia. Your love for each other was obvious & the laughs you had together will make this grief a little bit less.

The boys have an amazing father and they will always carry Danny’s light in them.

Danny,

I still can’t believe you are gone. It doesn’t feel real.

You were such a kind, genuine person who brought so much warmth to everyone around you. You made work a better place just by being there and were always willing to help those around you. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

You were always the calming presence I needed on the hard days. I will miss our weekly chats about our families and the advice you would always share with me. You always reminded me how quickly the kids grow up and to cherish every moment with them. I’ll carry those words with me always.

My heart breaks for your beautiful family, who you loved so deeply. I hope they can find comfort in knowing how many lives you touched and how loved you were by so many people.

Thank you for all your support, your advice, and your hard work. You will be missed more than words can ever say.

Rest peacef

It was a shock, followed by profound sadness on hearing Danny's passing.
I had the pleasure of knowing Danny for his entire time at A&L Windows as a work colleague, his boss for a time and a friend in the office. I always enjoyed our catch ups over a cuppa. Dannny always with his Man U cup proudly in his hand. I miss him dearly and still expect him to pass my desk with his lunch bag every week on the way to his desk.
My heart goes out to Dannny's family. He always talked about his family with immense pride with a big grin and joy on his face.
His positive energy and willingness for fun will be missed. We have lost a friend.
Much love and support to his family and anyone that had the pleasure in knowing Danny.

We are so saddened to hear of Danny's passing. Our university days seem like a lifetime ago, but also can feel just like yesterday. I fondly remember Danny making Mango Chicken in our final year house share. I will always remember his kindness and his quick witted sense of humour. My husband and I were married just a few days before Danny and Clare. Sending love to Clare, Tiernan, Orin, Caolan and all their family and friends at this unimaginable time of sadness, loss and grief.

Clare,

I was so deeply saddened to hear the news of Danny’s passing. Even though we haven't seen each other in years and I never had the chance to meet Danny, I always felt through social media that I had a glimpse into the beautiful family and life you built together in Australia. It was so evident how devoted he was as a husband and how much he doted on your three boys.

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I am sending you much love and hoping you find the strength to get through this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in peace Danny.

I feel incredibly privileged to have known Danny. In a world where truly genuine people are rare, Danny was one of them.

What I will remember most are the simple moments—the walks the jokes and laughter we shared while our boys were training. We would talk about football football football and family, life, and our hopes for our children. Those conversations meant more than I ever realised at the time. Danny’s love for his boys shone through every word. Everything he did was for Tiernan, Orin, and Caolan. He was so proud of them and only ever wanted the very best for each of them.

Danny had a quiet strength, a warm heart, and a kindness that made everyone around him feel welcome. He was the kind of father every child deserves and the kind of friend anyone would be fortunate to have.

His passing has broken our hearts. It is difficult to accept that someone who gave so much to othe

In fond memory of Danny.

I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. Although we only caught up in passing at soccer and occasionally had a quick chat, his friendly smile whenever he stepped out of his car to walk the boys to the pitch always meant a lot to me.

My family has always appreciated the Coyles family’s hospitality and kindness in inviting Jake to hang out with Orin and the boys by the pool at his residence. He was a wonderful, welcoming father, and he will be deeply missed on the sidelines.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Clare, Orin, and the family.

Dear Clare, Tiernan, Orin & Caolan

We were deeply shocked to hear of Danny's recent passing.
It's one of those moments in life where you simply can't begin to make sense of a loss that feels like it could not possibly be real.
Tiernan attended the same childcare/preschool/primary & secondary school together with our son James. We would see you all over the years at school events marking significant milestones. Danny would always be beaming with a warm proud smile always ready for a chat to reminisce about how quickly life goes by while our boys grow to young adulthood. Our hearts are broken for you Clare and your beautiful boys.
Danny has left the most wonderful legacy and precious memories that will never fade. His love and devotion for his family will always surround you all as you journey through life.
Please know we are close by and always here for you and the boys i

There are some lives that remind us that life is not measured by its length, but by the love it leaves behind.

Danny was the youngest of us, yet in many ways he spanned two generations. He wasn’t only our little brother. He was the uncle who grew up alongside our children, sharing their laughter, making memories, and becoming part of the story they will one day pass on to their own children.

He was loved beyond what words can hold.

Loved by his beautiful wife, Clare. Loved by his three boys, Tiernan, Orin, and Caolin, who were his greatest pride. Loved by his brothers and sister. Loved by his nieces and nephews. Loved by his friends. And loved by everyone whose life was made brighter simply because Danny was in it.

The number of hearts breaking today is a testament to the life he lived. Not because he ever sought attention, but because he quietly became someone deeply treasur

Heartbroken at the sudden passing of one of my oldest friends, Danny. We grew up together as part of a close-knit group, sharing our school years, countless memories, holidays and more than a little mischief.

Although Danny built a new life in Australia, we spoke often, and our conversations usually turned to his family and how immensely proud he was of his boys. We always made time to meet whenever he returned home to Northern Ireland. My thoughts are with Clare and their sons, Tiernan, Orin and Caolan, at this incredibly difficult time.

While it is difficult to put such a profound loss into words, we can only say that Danny will be deeply missed, always remembered and forever in our thoughts. It’s hard to believe we’re saying goodbye to Danny.

I’ll never forget the day Clare brought this quiet country boy home to meet us all those years ago. At first not knowing what to talk about, but it didn’t take long for us to see the gentle, funny, caring man behind the quiet smile. He had a way of making people feel at ease, and before long, he was one of the family.

When Danny and Clare made the decision to move to Australia to build their life together, our hearts broke. We knew it was the right adventure for them, but it was so hard watching them leave. Even with all those miles between us, Danny never let distance lessen the bond of family. Every visit home, phone call or group message, he picked up exactly where we had left off, as though no distance existed.

Danny's love for football, being a United man, also gave us a connection. Crazy he would get out of bed durin

We want to honour Danny — our gentle, loving brother‑in‑law who left us far too soon. Danny wasn’t a man of many words, but his kindness, his quiet humour, and his generous heart said everything. He was a devoted husband to Clare and an incredible father to Tiernan, Orin, and Caolan. His family was his whole world, and he loved them with a depth that could be felt in every moment.

To Caitlin and Finn, he was the fun, caring uncle who always made them smile. To us, he was steady, thoughtful, and endlessly good — the kind of person you were simply grateful to have in your life.
