Obituary

Everyone is free to leave their own obituary/tribute following the photos below.

Oto was a great man!
A brother, husband, uncle, teacher, colleague, mentor, great friend to many for life, and a surrogate father over and over again.

Born to teach. He was a high school teacher at Dandenong High School, loved teaching students in the science area, robotics, maths, physics and outdoor education.
His greatest passion was the outdoors. He loved getting out in the wilderness and teaching anyone to appreciate the beauty of nature.

The strongest, most loyal, reliable, courageous and loving person I will ever know.
He was a super genius with so many different skills, who has left an extraordinary impact on many people's lives.

You will never be forgotten, we will always talk about you, laugh about the memories and be grateful for the life we got to share with you.

We would love everyone to leave a tribute message below, which can be added to the memorial book in your memories of Oto.

Oto ❤️ One of the very best. I miss you mate. I feel incredibly lucky that our paths crossed and that I got to work alongside you. We shared such a genuine passion for what we did, but it was the person you were that made those times so special. I’ll always remember the adventures, the laughs, the lessons you taught me, the skills you passed on and all those hours spent outdoors doing what we both loved. But it’s the little things I’ll miss the most, our late night life chats, banter with the kids ‘the mutts’, and your caring nature to be above and beyond for others. You left a pretty big mark on my life, mate, and I’ll always be grateful for the memories and the time we had together.

Oto, What a ride we had ! 20 years of relentless bar bashing dirt bike riding nearly every weekend .. absolute living life without fear. Not to mention all the travelling and exploring my family and I have had with your guidance and advise. I'm looking forward to visiting the Simpson Desert leaving a pretty serious plaque in honour of you buddy. Forever with us on our travels! Luke

Oto, the world isn’t the same without you in it mate. The endless laughs we had and lessons you taught me I will forever be grateful for. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you mate, whether it’s in the shed spinning spanners or sitting on the bank of the Murray my first thought always goes to yourself and the good times we had. You will always be remembered. ❤️ “UP ON BLOCKS”

Oto 🩷 A great friend to me, a best friend and brother to Bob, and such a special uncle, teacher and role model to our children, Brad, Jaime and Mitch. You were one of those rare people who was so loyal and genuinely took an interest in our lives and in everyone around you. From teaching me to ski in those early days, to all the holidays, adventures, laughs and countless memories we shared, you have been such a huge part of our lives. You will be so sadly missed and never, ever forgotten. Our holidays, our adventures and our lives will never be the same without you. Thank you for all the memories, the friendship and the love you gave us over so many years. We were so lucky to have you in our lives. Until we meet again, Oto… look after Bailey for us. 🩷

To my beautiful Oto, My heart breaks for the life we still had left to live, but my love for you does not end here. It stretches into the unseen, into the endless, into eternity. You were my home in this life, and you remain my home in the next. You are forever mine, and I am forever yours.
