Obituary
Sheree Kinlyside’s story began on 17th July 1955, when she was born in Young, New South Wales, to parents Elizabeth and Alan.
Sheree lived and travelled widely before eventually settling in Townsville, where she raised her two children, Robby and Jorgia, alongside their father, Merv McAllister.
Sheree made many contributions to the local community, particularly through the arts. She was a deeply passionate artist who spent many years exploring different mediums, learning, sharing and teaching. Her focus eventually turned to traditional printmaking, a practice she spent many years perfecting, building her collection and making contributions and connections locally and internationally.
Sheree married Alan Carpenter on 8th July 2006. Together, they spent twenty years nurturing their collective family, creating a loving and warm home, and sharing their appreciation and love of art.
Sheree will be deeply missed and always remembered by all who knew her.
