Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Cameron Daniel on September 9, 2025, in the Australian Capital Territory.

Cameron is endlessly loved and remembered by his parents, Les and Belinda; his siblings, Lyndsay, Preston, and Tiahne; his three cherished nieces; and a wide circle of friends and colleagues.

Professionally, Cameron possessed a brilliant mind, dedicating his career to cyber security within defense-related organizations. But to those who knew him best, he will be remembered most for his quick, wonderful sense of humor and an incredibly generous spirit. Cameron had a lifelong passion for cars, but his true soft spot was reserved for animals. He cared deeply for cats, routinely opening his heart and home to RSPCA rescues who needed a second chance.

To honor Cameron’s quiet generosity and his profound love for animals, the family requests that any memorial donations be made to the RSPCA or a local animal rescue in his name. There is a button above for donations to the RSPCA.

I had the pleasure of being Cam’s manager before he left Boeing. Even though I am based in Brisbane and only saw him when I traveled to Newcastle, I always appreciated his dedication and great work. One memory that stands out to me is when Cam and Matteo took the time to take me out for a meal one night during one of my trips. It was a small gesture, but it meant a lot to me — showing the kind of thoughtful and friendly person he was. He was someone who truly cared about his work and the people around him, and he’s definitely been missed. I’m grateful for the chance to have worked with him and to remember him here.

Hi Cameron, our darling young man. I wrote a long and very heart felt tribute. But you know me. I managed to lose it. Doh and dah!!! Deb the dinosaur strikes again. Maybe it was way too long. But in the very short time you were here you bought light and happiness to your family and your friends . And to the rescue furry felines 🐈 you so graciously loved and protected 💖 I'm so proud of you Cameron following your dreams and cyber career. I miss your funny crazy wit and humour. how just one look on your face could make me burst out laughing, with out saying one word. You are cheeky and kind, wickedly funny. Fiercely protective of those you loved and those that were vulnerable and needed a friend and smile. I loved hanging out with you and the family.and thank you all for Including me in many of your family celebrations, birthdays and anniversaries. I talk to your Mum and Dad ofte

To my amazing son, Cameron. Having you in my life has been the most extraordinary privilege. You became the most the incredible and loving young man. You were always so loving and kind and, and always willing to give us, or anyone a hand. Your kindness also extended to your love of all animals, and specifically Yoda and Chewie. You cared for all the kittens you 'took in", and kept them with so much love. I miss you every day and think about you always. Until we meet again. All my love forever, my beautiful son. XOXOXOX
